Don't Under Think It

About

According to WordPress people like you more if you have a good About section. I had a look through some other blogs’ About sections and I found that I didn’t necessarily like the people more afterwards. This is not because they said things I found disagreeable, it’s because there is a tendency to use the third person. So, for the remainder of my about section I will use the second person. Starting… now.

You are an Australian who went to a Catholic, all male high school, which probably has done untold damage to your personal development.

You went to university in Melbourne and London and tried really hard to convince yourself that you liked politics and business and economics and talking about those things. But you failed (at the convincing yourself part, not the degrees).

You have lived with yourself for 24 years now and, besides from that period where you decided to see other people, you have generally tolerated yourself.

You like to write things and hope other people like those things too. You aim to update once a week at least.

Thanks Jenion, I worry that it comes across a little pretentiously :-S

I think everything should be written in the 2nd person. From now on.

This is hilarious! (and not pretentious at all). I didn’t even know talking about yourself in second-person was a ‘thing’… until now! 🙂

Ha, thanks! If my blog doesn’t get me fired from my job then I at least hope it gets other people fired from theirs.
